GoNetspeed is currently hiring an in-house automotive technician to service our fleet of vehicles in Phelps, NY. This position is hourly pay with guaranteed 40 hours available weekly. Our shop facility in Phelps, NY is equipped with company provided tools and a new Rotary 14K 4-Post Lift.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in vehicle or fleet equipment repair.
  • Ability to diagnose automotive concerns and provide recommendations for repair as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous employment history working for a construction or utility company with a fleet of 50+ vehicles or previous employment at an automotive dealership.
  • College or technical certificate in automotive technology or repair.
  • Welding and metal fabrication experience is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience as an automotive technician or fleet mechanic.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on company fleet vehicles, trailers, equipment, and tools.
  • Write work orders to document work performed and the costs associated with repairs.
  • Must be able to understand, diagnose, and perform repairs for problems related to vehicles and equipment.
  • Upfit vehicles with added equipment and complete their final preparation for field use.
  • Travel to job sites and complete emergency field repairs when necessary.
  • Conduct fleet vehicle inspections and compliance checks for vehicles based out of Phelps, NY location.
  • Maintain the location’s vehicle part and supply inventory.
  • Assist with scheduling and transporting vehicles to outside vendors when needed.
  • Observe all company and industry safety standards in relation to this position.
  • Assist the fleet management team with special projects and assignments as needed.
