As a Mechanic Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of mechanics and ensuring the efficient and effective operation of Dent Wizard Mechanic systems. This role involves managing day-to-day activities, coordinating repairs and maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Mechanic Supervisor must possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to troubleshoot and efficiently resolve mechanical issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience as a Mechanic or in a similar technical role, with at least 3+of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate team members.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a mechanical repair environment.
  • Great communication skills to interact with customers.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with maintenance management software.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Toughness and grit to work outside in all kinds of weather.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Physical Job Requirements Work in well-ventilated automotive repair shops or refurbishing facilities.
  • Ability to stand for long hours during the hours Physical stamina to frequently kneel, bend and squat, as well as lift up to 45 pounds; lift heavy wheels and work in various weather conditions.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive-motion tasks; proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Be able to twist and turn your body into awkward positions
  • Must be capable of simple and fine hand manipulations

Responsibilities

  • Repair Coordination: Assign tasks to Techs based on priority and skill level. Coordinate repair activities, ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards. Provide technical expertise and assistance to Tech in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical problems. Develop solutions to resolve issues promptly and minimize disruptions to operations.
  • Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the proper functioning of machinery and equipment. Coordinate with Management to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Supervision: Lead, train, and mentor a team of techs, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity. Identify training needs and opportunities for skill enhancement among Techs.
  • Quality Control and Service Excellence Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed repairs to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards. Address any deficiencies and implement corrective measures as needed. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inspections. Prepare reports on equipment performance, and maintenance costs for management review.
  • Serve as SME Mechanic Supervisor for the Division Maintain records of Mechanical processes, repairs, and customer specifications. Interact with customers to discuss mechanical options, provide cost estimates, and answer questions. Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and equipment components. Coordinate procurement and replenishment to ensure adequate supplies are available for Techs and repairs.
