About The Position

The Automotive Solutions Account Executive has the ability to develop excellent automotive client relationships and earn their trust though superior problem solving and drive for results. A successful ASAE II will be a results-focused individual who can create and manage strategy around automotive target opportunities, automotive sales pipeline, and closing automotive business. The ASAE must have excellent knowledge of material handling technologies and how to apply them to improve an automotive customer’s processes and operations. They develop system proposals that provide our clients a competitive advantage in their markets, demonstrate solution knowledge through successful client presentations, and lead the Solution Development Team to ensure a superior solution is offered to clients.

Requirements

  • Past experience working on automated systems in automotive manufacturing and supporting functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Masters preferred)
  • Must live in or near Detroit, MI.
  • Clear understanding of automotive specifications and requirements.
  • Developing strong relationships with automotive customers.
  • Immediately quoting simple to moderate complexity solutions
  • Growing to leading on moderate and high complexity solutions
  • Unsupervised opportunity development
  • Ensuring the successful implementation of secured projects
  • Ability to sell projects above $10M with traditional material handling equipment or a single advanced technology with oversight.
  • Basic level of knowledge of the Bastian Solutions scope of supply and capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to develop excellent automotive client relationships and earn their trust though superior problem solving and drive for results
  • Close major automotive system sales through a “top down” consultative selling approach. Provide best solution options for the automotive customer needs.
  • Strong consulting and engineering understanding demonstrated through leading detailed designs, iterations and summary data analysis results.
  • Develop system proposals that provide automotive clients a competitive advantage in their markets.
  • Demonstrate solution knowledge through successful client presentations
  • Creative engineering (information and material flow), clear understanding of automotive specifications, and innovative operational solutions.
