To provide firsthand classroom instruction to participants enrolled in the Automotive Skilled Trades Training Program at Goodwill Industries of Michiana, Inc. This program includes instruction in automotive technician skills, and an ASE aligned curriculum to provide participants with sought after skills identified by employers in the local community. The Automotive Skilled Trades Instructor is responsible for providing ASE aligned instruction, developing and facilitating curriculum, teaching classes, record keeping. The Automotive Skilled Trades Instructor is required to teach the following skills to participants: automotive safety, customer service, automotive repair theory, basic automotive repair, identification and use of basic hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, brakes, steering and suspension, and engine repair. This position requires collaboration with Program Coordinators, Success Coaches, Career Navigators, and external employer partners. This position reports to the CTE Team Lead who evaluates performance annually.
