Automotive Services Technology Instructor/Technical College Faculty
About The Position
Automotive SERVICES TECHNOLOGY Instructor Unlimited Full-Time Start date: August 17, 2026 Minnesota North College-Hibbing Campus is seeking an unlimited, full-time Automotive Services Technology instructor who is committed to excellence in teaching and learning; using active and experiential learning strategies; creating a student-centered environment; commitment to teaching students with a wide variety of backgrounds and working collaboratively with colleagues to create a successful student-learning environment. Position duties include but are not limited to: Ability to move/transfer 50 pounds or more. Instruct courses including Customer Automotive Repair, Shop Management and Supervision, and Transmission and Transfer Case Controls. Work Location: Minnesota North College – Hibbing Campus. Salary Range: $52,586 - $73,690/annually This salary range is for initial placement only. If currently teaching within Minnesota State, current salary will remain the same.
Requirements
- Education Requirement Post-secondary diploma or equivalent certificate in automotive services technology.
- Occupational Experience Requirement Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in automotive services technology.
- Recency Requirement One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) post-secondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
- Professional Requirement Current ASE certification in the areas in which the faculty member is teaching.
- Teaching and Learning Competency Requirement All new faculty must complete the teaching and learning requirement during their probation period. See requirements here: Teaching and Learning Competency Requirement
