About The Position

This position is for an Automotive Service Technician at Castle Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Naperville, open to all experience levels including Lube Technician, Skilled Service Technician, Apprentice Technician, and Journeyman Technician. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicle systems such as engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning. Technicians will identify automotive issues to ensure customer safety and satisfaction, test-drive vehicles, and use diagnostic tools and special service equipment. Collaboration with Service Advisors is also a key aspect of the role to provide accurate customer information.

Requirements

Previous experience as a journeyman, service technician, or mechanic
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
Teamwork mentality with the ability to collaborate with others effectively
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
Work to identify any automotive issues to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Collaborate with the Service Advisor to provide the most accurate information for the customer.
