About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced Automotive Service Manager / Shop Manager to lead the daily operations of a professional automotive repair facility. At GreatWater, we combine the personal culture of a neighborhood shop with the tools, systems, and support of a growing automotive network. Our Operating Partners lead their teams, maintain our standards, and ensure customers receive honest, high-quality service. Requirements

  • 2+ years automotive shop management experience
  • 1+ year sales experience or strong service sales ability
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Experience managing technicians and service advisors
  • Ability to manage workflow, productivity, and shop performance
  • Comfortable reviewing financial reports and shop KPIs
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the shop team
  • Manage daily shop operations and workflow
  • Maintain company standards, systems, and values
  • Sell repair and maintenance services using transparent communication
  • Monitor technician productivity and shop efficiency
  • Conduct hiring, onboarding, and training of team members
  • Perform employee coaching and performance reviews
  • Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and warranty administration
  • Monitor financial performance and shop profitability
  • Handle customer concerns and service recovery
  • Ensure shop safety and operational standards
