About The Position

Lum's GMC is seeking a positive, professional Automotive Service Greeter to join our team. A service drive greeter is typically the first point of contact for customers when they arrive at our dealership’s service department. Their main job is to welcome customers, create a positive first impression, and help ensure the service lane runs smoothly. At Lum's GMC we strive to make every customer a customer for life. Requirements

Prior customer service experience preferred.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized, with an ability to learn quickly.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software and the internet.
Professional and personable demeanor.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly, upbeat attitude, answers their questions and directs them to the appropriate person or location.
Upholds dealership standards for customer service, safety, and professionalism at all times.
Verify service appointments, collect vehicle information (e.g., license plate, VIN, mileage), and document the reason for service. Perform a visual inspection of the vehicle, noting any existing damage or concerns.
Assist customers in navigating the service process, answering basic questions, and directing them to the appropriate service personnel.
Maintains clean and safe lobby and service drive areas, free of dirt, water, leaves, snow etc.
Communicate effectively with service advisors and technicians to support workflow and customer updates.
Controls service traffic flow and parking.
Assists lot attendant with duties at the service counter.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Other tasks as assigned.
