About The Position

Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield is seeking a motivated, professional, and customer focused Automotive Sales Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate is driven to provide an exceptional client experience, build long term relationships, and help customers find the right vehicle to fit their needs. This role is responsible for responding to leads, guiding customers through the sales process, presenting vehicle features and product options, and delivering a first class ownership experience from initial contact through after sale follow up.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass background check.
  • Must have good driving record.
  • Must have driver’s license.
  • Must have basic knowledge of Computer systems.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
  • Must be able to work in an outside environment.
  • Must be able to drive Vehicles small and big.
  • May have to work in a noisy environment and in inclement weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule (opening shifts closing shifts and holydays)

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to internet, phone, and showroom leads
  • Follow up with prospective clients who have expressed interest in a vehicle
  • Schedule and confirm customer appointments
  • Assist customers throughout the vehicle selection and purchase process
  • Coordinate and conduct vehicle test drives
  • Demonstrate vehicle features, benefits, and technology in a clear and professional manner
  • Present products, options, and purchasing information to clients
  • Accurately enter and maintain customer information in the CRM and dealership systems
  • Assist with purchase documentation and required paperwork
  • Deliver vehicles to customers and ensure a smooth and professional handoff
  • Conduct after sale follow up calls to address questions, concerns, and customer satisfaction
  • Help maintain an organized, clean, and presentable lot and showroom
  • Attend product knowledge and sales training courses as directed by management
  • Stay current on new vehicles, services, and industry trends
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings
  • Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner at all times
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
