About The Position

The Automotive Sales Assistant supports Sales Consultants and Managers by providing excellent customer service in the dealership showroom. You will assist customers, update records, coordinate vehicle test drives, and collaborate with finance and service departments to ensure smooth sales processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required
• Dependable, friendly, enthusiastic, and self-motivated personality
• Experience with office tasks including telephone skills, typing, and documentation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Reynolds and Reynolds software preferred but not required; training provided

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and identify their needs
• Explain vehicle features, use, and care to customers
• Update customer information in dealership systems
• Communicate with customers regarding basic procedural questions
• Coordinate test drives and vehicle appraisals
• Retrieve vehicle invoices and prepare rebate summaries
• Assist finance team by providing necessary customer information
• Work with service department on accessory installations
• Schedule appointments and vehicle deliveries
• Reconcile monthly sales volume reports
• Perform other duties as assigned
