This role delivers exceptional customer service through product guidance, order processing, inventory handling, and light product repair in a team‑oriented, values‑driven environment. The Retail Store Associate is responsible for a high level of quality service for internal and external customers, accurate processing of returns, orders and product information. During down time, this position will repair, label and stamp parts as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year experience in customer service or similar environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written in the English language.
  • Strong attention to detail and able to follow established procedures.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn order entry and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Able to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment.
  • Able to resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully and develop alternative solutions and provide excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to automotive products, vehicles, tools, or related industries (professional or personal interest) preferred.
  • Comfortable learning technical product information and asking questions to build knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Provide knowledgeable, customer-focused support by answering product and service questions in person and by phone; recommend appropriate products and proactively upsell complementary items based on customer needs and vehicle applications.
  • Accurately enter customer orders into the SOP system; process payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges while ensuring correct pricing, charges, and change.
  • Retrieve products from the warehouse to fulfill customer orders; prepare accurate invoices and deliver products to the appropriate internal or external location.
  • Create, process, and track loan tickets as needed; retrieve loaned products and deliver them to the Customer Experience (CX) team.
  • Reverse loan tickets upon return and restock merchandise in designated locations
  • Identify , research, and resolve customer concerns; follow up on open inquiries to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution.
  • Route returned products to Quality Control (QC) for inspection and, once disposition is determined , ensure items are placed in the correct inventory location.
  • Recognize and document customer or operational trends; communicate insights to Purchasing and CX leadership and recommend process improvements as appropriate.
  • Safely operate material-handling equipment—including pallet jacks, tuggers, bicycles, and forklifts (if certified)—to retrieve and move products.
  • Assist with light product repairs, labeling, stamping, or preparation as needed.
  • Support special projects and operational tasks during downtime to maintain efficiency and organization.
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance and adhere to all safety and operational standards.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
