About The Position
Buchanan Automotive Inc. is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Parts Counterperson to join our team in Waynesboro, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers and staff with the ordering, stocking, and distribution of automotive parts, ensuring efficient service and support within our parts department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in automotive parts sales or counter service preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and terminology.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to use computerized inventory systems and order processing software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move automotive parts as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in automotive parts sales or counter service preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in locating and ordering automotive parts and accessories.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock levels.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments of parts.
- Work closely with service technicians and sales staff to fulfill parts requests promptly.
- Respond to phone and in-person inquiries regarding parts availability and specifications.
- Operate computerized parts ordering systems and update databases as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized parts counter and storage area.
