The Internet Sales Manager will be responsible for assisting with the overall performance of the Internet Sales Department operations, ensuring that the department meets the necessary objectives while creating and implementing action plans. The Internet Sales Manager will be required to run an efficient and profitable Sales Department through productive staffing, customer retention and achievement of objectives, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of dealership internet sales experience is REQUIRED
  • Business Development Center, internet sales experience is REQUIRED!
  • Capability to communicate orally and in writing with various levels of internal and external customers
  • Must be organized and extremely detail oriented
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Possess excellent negotiation and great closing skills
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Possess negotiation expertise and demonstrate ability to close sales
  • Must be self-motivated and able to achieve goals with limited direct supervision
  • Have the ability to work in a team environment with various types of personalities
  • Must be comfortable sitting for long periods
  • Internet proficiency
  • Exhibit a neat, clean and professional appearance
  • Work schedule Monday-Friday, but may include some weekend shifts

Responsibilities

  • Establish monthly and annual sales objectives for units, gross profit and expenses
  • Responsible for tracking, responding to, and managing all Internet sales leads
  • Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements
  • Review market analysis and sales reports
  • Monitors incoming email traffic and internet inquiries
  • Develops guest-prospecting file upon receipt of a lead
  • Quotes pricing, rates and automobile availability to guests within department guidelines
  • Schedules sales appointments and pairs guests with Sales Consultants if necessary
  • Maintain and update notes and information in the customer database
  • Keep abreast of new features and available accessories, and translates their benefits to guests
  • Direct guests to product information resources
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction scores, gross averages and monthly unit counts
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of the internet sales staff
  • Monitor Salesperson productivity and performance
  • Ensures internal and external guests receive a high quality of service with professionalism and respect
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, demonstrated by meeting manufacturer and dealership specified standards
  • Handle guest concerns promptly according to dealership guidelines and escalate concerns when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by management
