Sheehy Toyota of Fredericksburg seeks an energetic employee for Automotive Facility Custodian/Janitor (Full-Time) position who takes pride in their work. As the custodian/janitor you be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of all areas of the dealership, including the service shops, showrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas. This role may also involve performing minor repairs and maintenance. You will have the opportunity to impact the customer experience each day at our dealership and positively impact employee productivity, customer satisfaction, and shaping the overall image of our business.

Requirements

Experience in working within a customer service role with a positive attitude, can-do mentality and eager to improve
Good verbal communication, interpersonal and organization skills
Diligent work ethic and dedicated approach to performing duties
Physical strength and stamina with the ability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Knowledge of chemical safe with various cleaning products
Knowledge of hand and power tool safety
May be exposed to hazards like dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and unpleasant odors
Time-management and multitasking abilities
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Previous janitorial and/or maintenance experience preferred
High School Diploma, GED or higher
Must be authorized to work in the USA with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
Must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks (MVR, drug test)

Previous janitorial and/or maintenance experience preferred

Responsibilities

Perform any combination of the following duties: sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and vacuuming hallways, stairs, and office spaces
Keep the service shop clean and in orderly condition
Clean and disinfect surfaces in restrooms and other high-touch areas, maintaining multiple bathrooms and the kitchen area
Use machinery to clean showroom floor, dust entire facility
Empty trash and garbage bins/containers
Report and fix minor issues, routine painting, electrical and other maintenance activities using hand tools
Maintain and organize cleaning supplies, and request more when needed
Follow safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
Other duties as assigned
