About The Position

The Diesel Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Requirements

  • Experience as an Automotive Diesel Technician with a focus on diesel engine repairs preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems, including diagnostics and repairs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other technicians and service personnel
  • Proficiency in using a variety of automotive tools and equipment
  • Service-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing excellent service to customers
  • Willingness to adapt to changes in diesel engine technology and repair techniques
  • Must pass pre-employment background screenings

Nice To Haves

  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications in Diesel Engines and related areas are highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with diesel engines
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
  • Inspect, repair, and rebuild transmissions in diesel-powered vehicles
  • Repair and replace components of the exhaust system, including mufflers and catalytic converters
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems in diesel vehicles, including those in heavy-duty equipment
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding repair options and timelines
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all repair activities
  • Other duties assigned
