About The Position

The Diesel Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Requirements

Experience as an Automotive Diesel Technician with a focus on diesel engine repairs preferred
In-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems, including diagnostics and repairs
Ability to work collaboratively with other technicians and service personnel
Proficiency in using a variety of automotive tools and equipment
Service-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing excellent service to customers
Willingness to adapt to changes in diesel engine technology and repair techniques
Must pass pre-employment background screenings

Nice To Haves

ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications in Diesel Engines and related areas are highly desirable

Responsibilities

Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with diesel engines
Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
Inspect, repair, and rebuild transmissions in diesel-powered vehicles
Repair and replace components of the exhaust system, including mufflers and catalytic converters
Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems in diesel vehicles, including those in heavy-duty equipment
Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding repair options and timelines
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all repair activities
