As an Automotive Detail and Lot Technician , you will ensure all dealership and customer vehicles are clean, presentable, and ready for sale or service. Your role includes using high-pressure washing equipment and power tools to wash, wax, and detail vehicles. You will support Sales and Service Managers by following instructions and reporting any vehicle concerns promptly. This position requires working indoors and outdoors throughout the year. You will be exposed to dust, exhaust fumes, and various materials. The job involves physical activities such as lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and operating hand and power tools. Wearing a dealership uniform is mandatory. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and understand job instructions in electronic or paper form.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Good judgment and reliability.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a detail technician preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently wash and wax cars and trucks to dealership standards.
  • Complete all assigned tasks accurately and timely.
  • Properly tag vehicle keys and ensure descriptions match corresponding vehicles.
  • Inspect vehicles for safety or service needs and communicate findings to managers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including managing dealership tools.
  • Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations on hazardous waste disposal and safety protocols.
  • Use customer vehicles exclusively for work-related purposes.
