About The Position

Larson Toyota is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Cashier / Appointment Coordinator to join our service department. This hybrid role is critical to the customer experience—serving as both the first point of contact when scheduling service and the final point of contact at checkout. We’re looking for someone who can multitask under pressure, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and deliver a consistent, positive experience to every customer. This role is ideal for a professional who takes pride in accuracy, communication, and follow-through, and who is interested in growing within a respected, family-owned automotive group.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to independently problem solve.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, creating a positive first and last impression
  • Schedule service appointments and provide clear, accurate information on services and availability
  • Process service and parts invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Accept and record payments (cash, check, credit card) and reconcile the cash drawer daily
  • Coordinate appointment flow to support Service Advisors and Technicians
  • Manage incoming calls, provide backup reception coverage, and route inquiries appropriately
  • Stay organized while handling multiple priorities and meeting daily deadlines
  • Support the service department with administrative tasks as needed
  • Provide backup receptionist support as needed
  • Open, route, and prepare incoming and outgoing mail
