About The Position

Local bay county Dealership has an immediate opening for a full-time accounting specialist! Panama City Automotive group, John Lee Nissan Mazda is looking for the newest member of their accounting team! This is a structured growth opportunity designed for someone looking to build a long-term career in automotive accounting. Job duties and requirements are as follows:

Requirements

  • Be properly groomed, professional in presentation and in compliance with Dealership dress code.
  • Hours of work are Monday through Friday. There may be additional hours & weekend work depending on activities in the Dealership.
  • Various tasks to assist the accounting office activities in support of the other Sales oriented departments of the dealership.
  • Provide administrative support to management, other departments and employees as needed.
  • Must be dependable and detail orientated. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be accustomed to working under strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills required.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel/Word, CDK a plus)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior office, accounting, or dealership experience is preferred but we will train the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform foundational accounting tasks.
  • Maintaining accounting schedules regularly.
  • Assist with daily office operations and administrative support
  • Account reconciliations
  • Work closely with senior accounting staff to receive hands-on training and cross training
  • Develop an understanding of dealership operations, compliance, and reporting
  • Must be able to coordinate and effectively communicate information to Office Manager, Controller and other associates.

  • Must have experience in all Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Data entry experience required.
