As an Automation Technician at Radical AI you will prototype, install, and maintain a suite of novel robotic and autonomous systems to drive a first of its kind material science research and discovery laboratory. The workcells integrate PLC-controlled systems, 6-axis industrial robots, linear motion, pneumatics, and both standard and custom electromechanical equipment. The Automation Technician works closely with automation engineers, materials scientists, and operations staff to ensure safe, reliable, and repeatable system performance. You will take ownership of building prototype and production designs of electro-mechanical equipment at the direction of the technical project lead as well as owning day to day lab equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
