About The Position

As part of the Novares team, you will support the production floor with the operation of automated and semi-automated assembly equipment, tackling issues as they arise during daily operation. You will help install, maintain, and replace technical systems throughout the production process. You will also troubleshoot component parts, including vision systems, control components, photosensors, PLCs, and other vital technology. Engineers understand how the software is written, the urgency, logic, bypasses, the ability to start from ground zero with programming & installations – this person more so provides a bridge between maintenance & engineering. We need someone who can support day-to-day production in conjunction with maintenance. Vision systems issues, diagnosing issues on the floor, ability to troubleshoot quickly / think on their feet. Someone who understands ladder logic and the actual programming of Allen Bradley PLCS Someone who can work on automated systems already put in place – Upgrades / Upkeep Electro-Mechanical systems diagnosis and solutions including full automated / semi-automated assembly machines, automated feeding equipment, servo-driven machines / fixtures, camera inspection systems. Modification and touching up of robot points in Injection Molding/ Assembly Cells (Fanuc / Wittmann Robots). Environment is important: Experience in automotive, or another high paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as an Automation Technician, or other relevant experience
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Understanding of HMI/PLC programming and debugging
  • Knowledgeable in Fanuc and Wittmann robotics
  • Strong troubleshooting background
  • Experience in automotive, or another high paced manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred associate’s degree in electromechanical technology, or other relevant education / training
  • Preferred experience with Allen Bradley PLCs
  • Preferred experience with RSLogixs 500, 5000, and Studio 5000 programming
  • Preferred experience with Keyence / Cognex / Datalogic Camera Systems
