About The Position

This position combines technical mastery with leadership, focusing on the repair, optimization, and continuous improvement of high-speed packaging equipment and formulation systems. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical knowledge, problem-solving expertise, and a passion for mentoring and developing team members. This position is responsible for sustaining the operation of a variety of equipment used on filling lines and manufacturing equipment by applying preventative maintenance and programming skills. Technicians will adjust positional control programs for robotic equipment and use Allen-Bradley ladder logic to troubleshoot issues to achieve optimal run times.

• Strong PLC experience (Allen-Bradley, HMI’s, Studio 5000, ControlLogix).

• Electrical understanding (AC/DC, 3-phase, control voltage).
• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience supporting new machine installations.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in Robotics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee performance through coaching, mentoring, and administering performance reviews.
• Audit and maintain accurate employee timekeeping and absentee records.
• Communicate company and departmental goals and facilitate employee growth through meetings and training.
• Lead fabrication and prototyping of custom parts and equipment modifications.
• Spearhead continuous improvement projects for process optimization and equipment upgrades.
• Serve as a primary resource for onboarding and technical training of Maintenance/Automation team members.
• Develop and standardize preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting guides, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with vendors for equipment upgrades and advanced troubleshooting.
• Program VFDs and Servo drive systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC software changes and electronic components (PLC/Servos/Servo drives/VFDs).
