We are seeking Automation Specialist for our First Quality Baby Products site in Macon, GA. The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate and support Self-Guided Vehicle activities to ensure all units function according to specifications.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Advanced computer skills (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Strong Mechanical/Electrical background.
  • Strong understanding of SAP software.
  • Strong inventory control background.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group.
  • Constant walking/standing throughout shift.
  • Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting.
  • Occasional reaching overhead during shift.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of boxes weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Occasional operation of hand trucks and powered industrial equipment.
  • Occasional climbing of steps and ladders.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs SGV equipment daily.
  • Sets up and configures SGV hardware and software.
  • Operates SGV system to ensure product flow and maximum up-time and efficiency.
  • Conducts SGV training for team members as needed.
  • Works with MS Windows operating system. (i.e. Word, Excel and Access)
  • Completes daily SGV safety inspections.
  • Performs monthly SGV Pm’s.
  • Assists with SGV targeting and site survey.
  • Works with SAP software.
  • Works closely with Warehouse Group Leads and Inventory Specialist.
  • Observes all safety rules and uses the proper PPE at all times.
  • Notifies leadership of potential Safety hazards and takes immediate corrective action.
  • Follows necessary GMP, FDA and ISO regulations.
  • Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
