This position is responsible for developing and supporting processes and team members supporting automation and process control systems projects including new installations, modification, and customer support. Activities are heavily focused on-site at customer facilities. The Automation Service Leader is responsible for customer support. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate degree in Automated Manufacturing, Electromechanical Technology, EET OR Experience: Entry level – 6 years.
  • Experience with robotics is preferred.
  • Valid state driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required.
  • Travel: 25-50%
  • Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 AM and 6 PM, Monday- Friday.
  • Schedule may vary and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with technical guidance to ICIAN and FSR Team member to ensure that construction activities comply with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Interfaces with owners and subcontractors to perform project checkout and start-up activities assuring the completed project meets performance requirements.
  • Provides effective customer training as needed
  • Assists ICIAN and FSR team member project warranty issues and customer service needs (service calls).
  • Assists with calibration and configuration of instruments and devices
  • Provides assistance with remote troubleshooting support for PLC/HMI/SCADA systems hardware and software on an on-call basis
  • Able to work independently, assesses and troubleshoots service needs under stressful conditions, i.e., machine down and customer losing money
  • Provides input to team brainstorming activities to contribute to solutions or options. Thinks outside the box and willing to share ideas
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
