About The Position

Become part of the excitement. Automation Sales Manager As an Automation Sales Manager, you will drive automation revenue growth by expanding market awareness, influencing key decision-makers, and driving adoption among system integrators, OEMs, and industrial end-users regarding Graybar Electric’s automation offering. You will lead the coordination of resources and leverage relationships to create new business opportunities. Business Development Managers are responsible for creating new customer relationships, developing leads and closing sales. We are looking for someone with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills who loves the thrill of closing the sale.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated and results driven professional with expertise in industrial automation
  • The ability to develop and execute impactful business development strategies that drive growth.
  • Strong commercial acumen, communication, and stakeholder management skills, from the shop floor to the C-suite.
  • Ability to analyze customer pain points, competitor offerings, and emerging market trends to refine the value proposition and influence OEM’s, System Integrators and End Users
  • Engage with C-level executives, plant managers, automation engineers, and IT-OT leaders to drive digital transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate internally with lines of business
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to network and make connections
  • 5+ years’ experience in automation sales or marketing preferred
  • Ability to travel

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new business, develop leads, close sales with existing and new customers
  • Sell Graybar’s automation solutions platform
  • Conduct sales presentations to existing and potential customers
  • Provide expertise to end users, OEMs, system integrators, installers, consultants, engineers, etc. regarding automation products and technologies
  • Participate in professional organizations to enhance lead generation potential
  • Meet or exceed assigned annual sales and profitability budgets
