About The Position

Audubon is seeking an experienced Automation & Power Systems Manager to provide technical and managerial leadership in industrial automation, power systems, and E&I execution. This role will oversee automation and power system activities, manage engineering and technical staff, and support the successful delivery of complex projects. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in control systems, MV switchgear, MCC integration, drives, and automation standards, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Automation, or related field).
  • 15+ years of experience in industrial automation and power systems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical teams and leading automation-related projects.
  • Strong background in control systems, instrumentation, and industrial power systems.
  • Experience with DCS platforms, automation integration, and system modernization.
  • Familiarity with applicable industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting proposals and client-facing activities.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Automation Professional (CAP), or similar credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and managerial leadership for automation and power systems activities, including MV switchgear, MCCs, drives, and control systems.
  • Oversee execution of automation, instrumentation, and power-related projects to ensure quality, safety, schedule, and budget compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage automation and technical staff, fostering skill development and continuous improvement.
  • Support development and application of automation and power system standards and best practices.
  • Serve as a technical resource for resolving complex automation and power system issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, project management, and operations teams to align execution with project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations (NEC, IEEE, ISA, NETA, UL).
  • Support sales and proposal efforts through technical input, scope development, and client engagement.
  • Participate in client meetings and technical presentations as needed.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
