What you will do: Maintain supply levels for all cartons, lids, glue, bags, and labels. Work in conjunction with the automation supervisor to trouble shoot transport and shuttle errors. Generate daily hand off report for any necessary repairs during the AM shift. Trouble shoot all automation equipment failures including automation software, carton erectors/carton sealers, Flow turn, conveyor spirals, palletizer, transport shuttles, and label applicators. Lead all mechanical help desk calls when all attempts to repair equipment have failed. Performs equipment walk around and inspects and adjusts equipment. Understanding of lock out tag out standards and follow in accordance with while performing daily functions of the job. Safely isolate equipment to perform repairs and maintenance; work at heights within the automation aisles in a safe manner. Responsible for all tasks related to predictive and preventative maintenance programs Repair and maintain all conveyor machinery and equipment; repair or replacement of motors, gear reducers, couplings, variable frequency drives, pulleys, idlers, brakes, structure, belting, cleaners, take up systems, transfer points, dust control systems, lubrication and machine health as needed. Performs equipment repairs, changes out parts, checks the status of equipment availability with automation manager, and follows procedures and locate parts and supplies from the spare parts area. Maintenance of all machinery and equipment such as compressors, and pumps; repair or replacement of control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, and ECC devices as needed. Review data and identify trends that can help increase efficiencies and/or improve processes.
