As an Automation Technician, you will be a key part of our business in Assembly. Reporting to the Assembly Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining automated production systems and equipment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact the exit devices used in your everyday life. Requirements

  • Ability to learn product and finish requirements as it relates to area of automation
  • 1 year operations/manufacturing experience
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Basic math and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred associates degree in automation or robotic technology or similar. If not, willingness to obtain certificate within 12 months.
  • Experience with robotic, vision system, automation, and pack to quality systems or ability to learn
  • Experience with windows, apps and other computer operating systems

Responsibilities

  • Changeover, operate and maintain automated systems to including robots, conveyors, machine vision, HMIs, and sensing technologies within defined standard work.
  • Complete periodic checks on equipment and creatively and efficiently solve problems as detected
  • Troubleshoot automated system faults to support operations efficiency and quality including minor programming adjustments within defined standard work and under engineering oversite
  • Collaborate with operations, materials, maintenance and engineering to ensure timely detection and repair of faulty automated systems
  • Collect data to facilitate and actively problem solve improvements on automated and support systems
  • Support implementation of process improvements under guidance of process/controls engineering
  • Understand and ensure commitment to the safety guidelines within the manufacturing floor and across the plant
