About The Position

Lone Star Corporation is an Oil and Gas based Field Automation and Services Company. Lone Star manufacturers customized automation control equipment specific to the oil and gas upstream industry, as well as providing automation Engineering and Field Automation Services related to our equipment as well as other manufacturer's automation equipment. Lone Star Corp. is looking for an experienced Automation - Measurement Technician who can hit the ground running. This position will primarily be located in West Texas. This position will require knowledge with most common automation equipment in use in the Oil and Gas Upstream Production industry, including pressure and level transmitters, gas flow measurement equipment, (TotalFlow) (ROC), burner controllers, plungers, and other related equipment. Experience with Coriolis meters will be beneficial in this position.

Requirements

  • Good Communication Skills Required
  • High School or general education degree (GED).
  • Three years of experience with O&G production field automation.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and electronics
  • Basic knowledge of the oil and gas industry
  • Must have working knowledge of all equipment used for calibrations, including gauges, electronic testers, and other equipment.
  • A strong experience of TotalFlow and ROC
  • Experienced with computers and related calibration programs.
  • Must have a good driving record
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Coriolis meters a plus.

Responsibilities

  • New facility installations
  • Gas Flow Meter installations and calibrations
  • Level Transmitter installations and calibrations
  • Pressure Transmitter installations and calibrations
  • Valve Actuator installation and maintenance
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Upkeep of all documentation to Company and Customer standards
  • Uphold all Safety Standards
  • Other Solutions related to measurement related problems.
  • Installation and calibration of Flow meters
  • Maintenance and calibration of Coriolis meters.
  • Basic troubleshooting of PLC issues
  • Work with customer with SCADA interfacing and testing
  • Perform other duties as requested by Company and Customer as requested
  • Must be willing to work on standby schedule and work overtime as requested
