ECHO Incorporated is hiring an Automation/Maintenance Technician III to join our team. This hands-on role works closely with ECHO’s production manufacturing team to ensure maximum production utilization and efficiency during 2nd shift hours. The position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and daily repairs on high-volume robotic assembly and packaging equipment, production assembly fixtures and tools, while also supporting facility maintenance activities. 2nd Shift 2:00pm - 11:30pm $35+/HR depending on experience + yearly bonus! Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, or maintenance-related roles
  • Strong ability to multi-task, stay organized, and meet project deadlines
  • General understanding of industrial PCs, HMI, and PLC functionality, including programming and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and analyze equipment drawings and schematics
  • Strong knowledge of pneumatic systems and low-voltage electrical equipment
  • Experience operating tool room equipment such as milling machines, lathes, band saws, and overhead cranes
  • Must have basic hand tools/toolbox (specialty tools are a plus)
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English (Spanish is a plus)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with 3D modeling or CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks) is a plus
  • Experience working with 6-axis robots (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and daily repairs on robotic assembly and packaging equipment, production fixtures, and tools
  • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, including robotic systems, manual fixtures, and ancillary equipment
  • Train and mentor production staff on proper equipment operation (start-up, shut-down, restart procedures, and troubleshooting awareness)
  • Maintain and monitor 5S practices across work areas, spare parts cabinets, and equipment zones
  • Complete and close out work orders within ECHO’s maintenance software system
  • Communicate effectively with Automation, Facility Maintenance, and Production teams
  • Work collaboratively with Automation and Maintenance team members to cross-train and share knowledge
  • Utilize experience to troubleshoot issues independently and develop effective solutions
  • Maintain a strong sense of urgency to support optimal O.E.E. (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
