About This Role… The Automation team is looking for a summer intern who can assist in various projects, daily tasks, and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty! This role will involve some light fabrication and assembly along with traditional engineering work. The intern in this position will be working 40 hours a week, 100% onsite. Key Projects and Tasks Machine Guarding – Collaborate with our Automation Engineers and Technicians to improve our machine safety systems. You’ll work on updating the machine guards through 3D modeling, 3D printing, and hands-on shop work. Bucket De-Nester – Take the lead in advancing a robotic project, building on the work of a previous intern. This task involves coding, some 3D modeling, 3D printing, and developing an understanding of robotics. Machine Metrics – Support the setup and implementation of machine metrics on various shop floor machines. Requirements

  • Full-time, on-site availability (40 hours/week)
  • Currently enrolled in college/university with Fall 2026 registration confirmed
  • Must be a rising junior or higher
  • Major in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar area of focus
  • 3D Modeling experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience with Microsoft software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • PLC experience desired
