Requirements

  • Degree in Automation, Electrical/Control Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with industrial control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA) and process automation principles. Specific ABB 800XA knowledge is mandatory for the profile
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, industrial networking, and safety systems.
  • Familiarity with change management and commissioning in live production environments.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity practices for OT environments
  • Strong personality to ensure proper operations and change management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AVEVA PI and MES systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and configure control strategies for distributed control systems (DCS), PLCs, and related automation platforms.
  • Prepare functional and design specifications, perform FAT/SAT, and lead commissioning activities.
  • Implement changes and improvements using structured change control processes.
  • Monitor and optimize automation systems for stability, performance, and safety.
  • Troubleshoot control logic, instrumentation, and network issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, logic, and system architecture.
  • Apply relevant standards (e.g., IEC 62443, ISA‑88/ISA‑95) for security and system integrity.
  • Ensure proper backup, version control, and disaster recovery procedures for automation systems.
  • Integrate automation systems with plant historians, MES, and IT platforms for data visibility and analytics.
  • Support digitalization initiatives and advanced process control projects.
  • Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to align automation solutions with operational needs.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders and contractors during upgrades or migrations.
