Role Summary As Stellix continues to grow, we have an opportunity for an Automation Engineer to explore systems applications across many process industries. Do you enjoy taking on new and interesting challenges? Do you take pride in providing the best solutions to your clients? Do you want to execute projects as part of a technical team? This role will contribute to the start-up of new Emerson DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS) at customer sites. You will be part of a team that engages customers on automation solutions and supports each other along the way.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Commutes to customer sites within the greater Boston Area, optional travel within US or abroad
  • 3 years programming and configuration experience with DeltaV Distributed Control System
  • Field instrumentation installation and troubleshooting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Process control experience
  • Familiarity with computer networks
  • Knowledge of cGxP systems and procedures
  • Ability to work with teams
  • Time management skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop new expertise
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, test, and maintain DeltaV Control Systems Applications
  • Pursue engineering solutions for process optimization through implementation of process control technologies and strategies
  • Provide support of the daily manufacturing operation for process optimization
  • Collect customer data and utilize it for designing control strategies
  • Participate in the start-up of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) at customer sites
  • Conduct site acceptance testing (SAT) and provide supporting documentation
  • Perform control system loop checks
  • Ability to read and interpret piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) and logic descriptions
  • Complete automation projects as a member of a large technical team
