Requirements

  • Electrical Engineering Degree or 2 years industrial experience in automation and controls
  • High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • Previous Steel/Manufacturing Experience in an industrial setting or related coursework

Responsibilities

  • Work safely

  • Ability to generate new ideas and recognize the need for new and/or modified approaches
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Programmable Logic Control (PLC) Programming
  • Human Machine Interface (HMI) Programming
  • Electrical control circuit troubleshooting
  • Electrical control circuit design
  • Control panel design and installation
  • Database/server programming
  • AC & DC Drive configuration
  • AC & DC Motor Theory application
  • Project management
  • Instrumentation configuration and calibrations
  • Ethernet network setup and troubleshooting
  • Power distribution system design/theory
  • Thorough understanding of production process
  • Work closely with electricians & millwrights to solve issues, troubleshoot, & project implementation
  • Work with teammates to solve issues & develop process improvements
