About The Position

AHF Products has a job opportunity for an Automation and Maintenance Supply Specialist to be located at our plant in Cartersville, GA. The Automation and Maintenance Supply Specialist will be responsible for the upkeep of buildings and mechanical systems. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for splitting time between repair, maintenance, and the installation of system components and office hours. Additionally, Mechanical Maintenance are expected to perform emergency repairs, which necessitates the ability to troubleshoot promptly.

Requirements

  • Mult-craft maintenance experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a composed safe manner
  • Understand High/Low Voltage monitoring, installation and troubleshooting
  • Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening
  • Positive and Verifiable Work History
  • Must follow safety guidelines and wear applicable safety equipment, e.g., safety glasses, side shields, approved safety shoes, and other PPE as needed
  • Associate degree in electrical engineering technology or minimum of four years’ experience and proven capability
  • Knowledge of electrical designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Proficiency in PLC/diagnostic testing software.
  • Analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, communication/collaboration skills, and organizational and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to perform electrical maintenance and repairs outside of business hours.
  • Experience with supply/procurement

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the installation and operational team with new equipment installation and ramp-up.
  • Assist with suggestions, changes and improvement to electrical design and maintenance tasks.
  • Installing and performing diagnostic tests on electrical systems and supporting equipment.
  • Developing and implementing electrical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting electrical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.
  • Documenting processes and maintaining electrical service records.
  • Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies in the hardware/supply room.
  • Give feedback and instructions to supply room and purchasing in minimum quantities for replacement items.
  • Work with operations and quality to optimize electrical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.
  • Coach and teach maintenance techs the importance of 70e PPE and proper inspection of PPE.
  • Coach and teach the differences in wire grades to ensure the right grade is chosen.
  • Help instruct and guide co-workers in installs of wiring and labeling.
  • Teach maintenance techs on difference between breakers, relays, disconnects and other power functions.
  • Maintain a clean work environment including but not excluding production work areas, toolboxes, hand tools, equipment and facility.
  • Ensure when job is done the work area is cleaned and equipment is tested before leaving the job.
