About The Position

As Automation Technician specializing in Environmental/Equipment Monitoring System (EMS) and process equipment/systems, you will play an integral role in the Facilities and Engineering team to ensure reliable and compliant operations of a new Cell Therapy site and process equipment. This position of Automation and Controls Technician works with the Director of Engineering. Key Responsibilities: Support continuous improvement initiatives to with Automation and Controls to optimize automation platforms and OT systems and ensure alignment with operational cross-functional teams. This role will perform or support configuration, installation, startup, and operational readiness of all automation and OT platforms. Responsibilities for Automation and Controls Technician role include diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to computerized process equipment and automation and control systems and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. Perform as system administrator for automation systems /automation and controls systems and OT / process equipment. Support developing budget estimates for capital equipment purchases and small projects. Execute preventative maintenance for automation and OT systems/equipment. As system admin or custodian, maintain validated or commissioned state of the systems. Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor. Rotational on-call support is required.

Requirements

  • HDS diploma and seven (7) years of experience
  • Experience with facility environmental monitoring systems, building management systems, automation/OT for cell therapy process equipment (MFG and QC lab), or other related experience.
  • Knowledge of GMP regulations, applicability to the management of automation and/or OT systems, and familiar working with process equipment vendors.
  • Experience in system/equipment integration and networking principles within a GMP environment.
  • Fixing and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex system issues while adhering to GMP regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multi-functional teams and collaborators in a GMP environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree and minimum of 3 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of experience.
  • Technical and Engineering fields are preferred.
  • Experience with regulatory inspections and internal audits.
  • Education in the Technical and Engineering fields preferred.
