We form steel, stainless steel, cold-rolled steel, hot rolled steel, aluminum, copper, brass, hastelloy and inconel into a variety of shapes, including panels, hemispheres, hoppers, venturis, cans, pans, shells and other formed metal parts.

Requirements

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
  • Possess good communication and reasoning skills with the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions whether written or oral.
  • Understand and support of company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all safety checks at the start of their shift on all cranes and tools, document as necessary and continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift.
  • Read, understand, and interpret blueprints and job routings.
  • Record required information on proper forms relating to machining practices where required.
  • Properly operate and interpret various measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
  • Correctly monitor and identify when equipment needs to be sent out for calibration.
  • Perform inspections using Quality Assurance procedures and work instructions.
  • Work with the department supervisor and maintenance to make sure machines are running smoothly.
  • Performs housekeeping and other related duties.
