About The Position

AutoCAD Drafter Project Resources Group (PRG) is seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter with background in Civil or Public Utility Construction Design. Requirements

  • Associate degree in Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 1 years of AutoCAD drafting experience, preferably in civil or public utility construction related fields.
  • Experience interpreting and drafting civil and or public utility construction prints.
  • Previous work experience with design, construction, utility, or engineering firms.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of GIS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Initial review and virtual survey of upcoming municipal projects
  • Gathering and examination of utility plates
  • Calling for mark outs in the proposed work zones
  • In person walk outs of areas within proposed work zone where utilities are present
  • Preform post survey utility interference analysis
  • Produce overlays and engineers estimates to be included in utility packages
  • Manage project deadlines with NYCDDC
  • Attend city preconstruction meetings
  • Perform additional drafting and project-related tasks as assigned.
