AutoCAD CNC Drafter
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter to join a growing engineering and production team. This is a hands-on drafting role focused on creating and reviewing detailed shop drawings that support manufacturing and production. This is not a warehouse or office position. The Drafter will prepare and/or check shop drawings to ensure they are clear, complete, and accurate. Drawings will be created from rough or detailed sketches, existing libraries, and product rules, using AutoCAD 2012 . This role supports the Engineering/Product Development Manager and requires strong industry knowledge and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Strong experience using AutoCAD 2012 .
- Proven ability to create accurate, detailed shop drawings.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing and production environments.
- Ability to interpret engineering documents and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Prepare rough sketches by reviewing specifications and visualizing systems, components, and parts.
- Develop final drawings by interpreting sketches, specifications, and supporting documents.
- Create layouts and detailed drawings showing multiple views, component relationships, dimensions, tolerances, materials, angles, and curvatures.
- Review and verify specifications by examining engineering documents and performing calculations.
- Modify existing drawings based on design changes and updated requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering/Product Development Manager on detailed shop drawings for submittals and production.
- Prepare and program CNC equipment as required.
