About The Position
This is a Career Position in Design and Project Management for Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems in Commercial Tenant Improvement/New Construction Projects. The person in this role will complete company-sponsored training and certifications relative to those activities. This position requires proficiency in AutoCAD drafting functions. Applicant must also be proficient in Microsoft Office, be a good communicator, and possess excellent multitasking and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Commercial Fire Sprinkler Designer
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with Bluebeam
- Ability to perform hydraulic calculations
- Strong communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with General Contractors and other subs to gather required information to design the projects sprinkler system.
- Create detailed drawings through extensive use of AutoCAD
- Create material listings for projects
- Perform Hydraulic Calculations
- Work with other departments within the company to hand over proper job information.
- Maintain organized records, including but not limited to tracking of submittals, change orders, and permits.
