GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for implementation of effective sales/marketing strategy and efficient management of the Sales Force. Provides leadership to the indirect auto sales team through directing and supporting RSMs in recruiting, teaching and coaching consultative selling. Responsibilities also include collaborating with key stakeholders to develop, implement and measure programs and initiatives that drive sales and profitability and are consistent with the Bank's risk appetite. The role is responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.

  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Develops, communicates, and implements the auto LOB origination strategy and the sales team's specific marketing plan in order to maintain and expand current and new markets.
  • Develops successful team members by providing coaching, training, product knowledge, selling techniques, and negotiation skills using available data when appropriate.
  • Develops a sense of team and sharing of best practices and new ideas across the sales force.
  • Recommends and implements program revisions after compiling competitive data and analyzing dealer needs.
  • Works closely with the head of auto lending and other key stakeholders to identify data driven systemic improvements aimed at increased efficiency and profitability.
  • Actively participates with all internal stakeholders in ongoing efforts to continually improve customer service for both internal and external customers.
  • Develops and implements annual and long-term business plans for assigned product lines consistent with the overall strategic goals of the company.
  • Prepares and manages marketing plans and materials consistent with corporate marketing policy.
  • Participate with LOB leadership and compensation partners, as well as the LOB CFO in the development of cost effective incentive plans that drive the right behavior
  • Establish and monitor sales targets for the division that meet objectives and risk appetite
  • Responsible for collaborating with Bancorp marketing and business leaders to implement strategic marketing to drive business.
  • Ensure proper execution of programs to achieve stated revenue, profitability and market share.
  • Creates targeted communication to drive indirect auto business in alignment with key business initiatives
  • Requests detailed analyses of all aspects of the business, including profitability of national dealers, and uses them to implement data driven solution
  • Ensures controls are adequately in place and documented for all functions for which he/she is responsible
