About The Position

At Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, the Automotive Maintenance Technician II is an individual contributor role focused on ensuring vehicles run smoothly. This position involves performing preventive maintenance, various repairs and maintenance based on certification levels, and maintaining comprehensive vehicle and maintenance records. The technician will also be responsible for fitting vehicles with necessary equipment and strictly adhering to all safety procedures. The ideal candidate is passionate about working on cars and thrives in a team environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of vehicle service and repair experience
  • Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana not tested for this position, but a drug-free workplace policy applies)
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Continued training to maintain current A.S.E. status and to meet with technology and fleet changes as they occur
  • A.S.E. Automotive or Truck Certification, or other related certifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Depending upon certification levels, perform various repairs and maintenance
  • Create and maintain vehicle and maintenance history
  • Fit vehicles with the necessary equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures
