About The Position

Inspects damaged vehicles and prepares itemized damage appraisals outlining cost of parts, materials, and labor necessary to restore vehicles to their pre-damage condition. Determines if damages are sufficient to declare the vehicle a total loss. How does this role make an impact? Communicates with vehicle owners to promptly schedule physical inspections of damaged vehicle. - Completes physical inspections of damaged property, when necessary, evaluates damages and prepares written estimates in accordance with applicable policy coverage. Audits/reviews body shop and independent appraiser estimates, supplements and subrogation documentation relative to claims guidelines and procedures. - Communicates all information obtained to involved parties, negotiates and settles claims within prescribed authority. Maintains professional working relationships with body shops, vendors and internal customers.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
  • Prior experience negotiating with repair facilities and vendors.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for working with customers and vendors and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining brand integrity.
  • Strong analytical ability to assess damage and determine total loss thresholds.
  • Strong understanding of automotive repair processes, parts, and labor standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple inspections and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with CCC One estimating software, claims management systems, digital photo documentation and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory which include but are not limited to:: Alabama: Andalusia, Opp, Enterprise, Dothan, and north to Troy. Georgia: East to Bainbridge and north to Blakely

Nice To Haves

  • I-CAR Platinum or equivalent collision repair certification and ASE certification in collision repair or estimating are preferred.
