About The Position
· The collision estimator should possess a strong understanding of auto motive repair processes, parts, and materials. They should have a comprehensive knowledge of vehicle systems, structural components, and the effects of collisions on vehicles. · Collision estimator s should be able to accurately assess the damage caused by a collision and provide an estimate for the repair costs. Their estimates should as close as possible to the actual repair cost to ensure fair and reasonable pricing for customers and insurance companies · Collison estimator s must pay close attention to detail when inspecting damage d vehicles. They should be able to identify both visible and hidden damage , as well as potential safety concerns that may arise from the collision. · Proficiency in using collision estimating software is crucial for a collision estimator . They should be able to input the relevant data and generate detailed estimates using industry standard software programs. · Effective communication skills are essential for a collision estimator . They need to be able to clearly explain the repair process, cost breakdown, and any additional services required to customers, insurance adjusters, and technicians. They should also be able to answer questions and address concerns in a professional and customer-friendly manner. · Collision estimator should be able to provide estimates in a timely manner.
