Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Licenses as required by state guidelines.
Three (3) years of related experience to include at least one (1) year of appraisal experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Strong knowledge of automobiles
Ability to understand and utilize appraisal software
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Strong organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent negotiating skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time; must be able to kneel, squat, or bend; must be able to work outdoors in hot and/or cold weather conditions; have the ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, reach/work overhead; be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds; be able to drive up to 4 hours per day; and must have continual use of manual dexterity

Prior catastrophe (CAT) appraisal experience is a strong plus for this position.

Responsibilities

Appraises and determines costs of repairs to damaged vehicle in the field; determines repair versus replace and parts utilization.
Evaluates and determines if the vehicle is repairable or salvageable based on industry standard estimatics software.
Travels to inspection locations to appraise vehicles in the field.
Prepares estimates using estimatics software.
Works directly with auto repair facilities to determinate supplemental repair processing and provides a supplemental estimate.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Travels as required.
Catastrophe Deployment & Ongoing Field Expectations Prior catastrophe (CAT) appraisal experience is a strong plus for this position.
The role may require deployment in support of CAT operations, particularly during peak summer months.
Deployments can involve extensive travel, extended work hours, and temporary relocation based on business needs.
During non‑CAT periods, colleagues are expected to consistently manage daily appraisal volume within their assigned home territory, demonstrating strong time management, autonomy, and adherence to productivity and quality standards.
