About The Position

Emory Autism Center is seeking a clinical psychiatrist to join our excellent autism psychopharmacology clinic. Responsibilities include clinical care for complex individuals diagnosed with autism or related neurodevelopmental profiles across the lifespan and providing training and mentoring across psychiatry and related disciplines. Our collaborative multidisciplinary team supports opportunities for individual growth and engagement within the clinic, department and community across Georgia and the southeast region. The qualified candidate will serve as a full-time attending with primary responsibility at Emory Autism Center and opportunities for collaborative care within affiliated clinics and hospitals. In addition to providing excellent clinical care, the candidate will contribute to the development of evidence-based and specialty treatment programs, participate in the education of Emory Psychiatry residents, and support the administrative processes of the department. Candidates for the position should be license-eligible in Georgia and have expertise in treating neurodevelopmental concerns. We are open to providing specialty training, e.g., for child psychiatrists with autism experience or adult psychiatrists wishing to expand their expertise. As a member of the Department of Psychiatry Faculty, the attending will be responsible for sharing on-call coverage of the inpatient services at Emory Decatur Hospital and telephonic support of other behavioral health specialists at Emory. This is a position of open academic rank. Compensation will be commensurate with faculty rank and experience and includes an attractive benefits package. Completion of MD/DO degree, psychiatry residency and a current GA medical license or license eligible in the state of Georgia. NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
