About The Position

Join our Autism Residential Adults Program in Southborough or Needham, MA — where we provide you with the essential resources, research and education to take your career to the next level. As an Autism Counselor, you'll: Provide instruction and care using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles Provide job coaching to develop and build vocational skills Build positive relationships and celebrate every success Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized educational programs Teach and support skill development in areas such as: Communication and social interaction Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene Vocational and pre-employment skills Adaptive physical education and self-preservation Receive paid training and coaching Promote a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment What We Do: The New England Center for Children (NECC) is a global leader in autism education and research. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or enrollment in a 4-year program
  • Compassion, patience and dedication to help autistic students who engage in challenging behaviors
  • Valid Driver's License with personal vehicle
  • CPR training (can be completed with us during your first 6 months)
  • NECC CALM training — Physical and Verbal De-escalation training and Medication Administration training (ability to get MAP Certified)

Responsibilities
