Concordia Visiting Nurses is a Medicare-certified, state licensed, Medicaid approved home health agency operating in nine Western Pennsylvania counties. Concordia is seeking a dedicated Authorization Specialist to manage insurance authorizations for our high-volume home health agencies and hospice agencies. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for obtaining prior and subsequent authorizations for services from various payers, ensuring smooth operations and excellent service delivery. Exceptional Customer Service Skills: You should be able to provide outstanding support to clients and colleagues alike. Detail-Oriented: Accuracy is key in managing authorizations, so attention to detail is essential. Strong Keyboarding Skills: Proficiency in typing is important for efficient data entry and communication. Ability to Work Independently: You should be self-motivated and capable of managing your workload effectively Experience with health insurance processes: familiarity with medical terminology is recommended Proficiency in Microsoft Office: previous experience using Excel is required. What you will do as an Authorization Specialist: Engage with payer sources to discuss clinical documentation and secure necessary authorizations. Collaborate with clinicians to gather clinical documentation required for authorization. Maintain accurate records and tracking of all authorizations. Conduct daily reviews of relevant reports. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, located at our Concordia Cabot campus.
