About The Position

The Host plays a pivotal role in creating a polished and seamless experience for all guests. Serving as the first point of contact, this role sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience through warm, professional, and thoughtful hospitality. Responsibilities include managing reservations, welcoming guests with precision, and ensuring seating arrangements flow smoothly to accommodate both guest expectations and the needs of the dining room. Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within a fine dining or hospitality-focused environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact effortlessly and professionally with both guests and team members.
  • Impeccable personal presentation and demeanor, reflecting the elevated atmosphere of the restaurant.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting while maintaining composure and focus.
  • Proactive mindset with a natural ability to anticipate guest needs and respond with thoughtful, personalized service.
  • Familiarity with reservation systems, email, and basic restaurant software.
  • A collaborative team player who takes initiative to contribute to the overall success of the service team.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and escort guests to their tables with grace and efficiency, ensuring a warm and seamless introduction to their dining experience.
  • Manage reservations and waitlists with precision, maintaining an organized and fluid seating flow during peak dining hours.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure a synchronized service experience.
  • Answer incoming calls, handle reservations, and respond to inquiries with discretion, professionalism, and prompt follow-through.
  • Seat guests thoughtfully, balancing table availability, guest preferences, and team workload to maintain harmony in the dining room.
  • Anticipate guest needs, providing assistance such as water service, menu guidance, or special requests to enhance their experience.
  • Maintain the host station and waiting area with impeccable order and cleanliness, reflecting the restaurant’s high standards.
  • Support service operations by resetting tables, clearing settings, or assisting with drink service as needed.
  • Handle guest accommodations, and special arrangements with care, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to continually refine hospitality skills and operational knowledge.
  • Uphold the restaurant’s values, service standards, and policies with consistency and professionalism.

  • Seasonal Bonus Program:
  • All hourly employees are eligible for our seasonal bonus program.
  • You will receive $1 per hour worked and $1.50 per overtime hour worked.
  • Employees who terminate or resign before the season ends will not participate.
  • If the season is shortened due to business levels, you will still receive the bonus.
  • Employees in short-term contracted positions, like Lone Mountain Rangers, are also eligible.

  • Ranch Gratuity:
  • In addition to your hourly rate, you will receive a ranch gratuity unique to Lone Mountain Ranch.

  • During the summer, you have free access (space permitting) to activities like horseback riding, Lone Mountain Rangers, and Yellowstone National Park tours, as well as yoga.
  • In winter, enjoy access to 50 miles of cross-country ski trails.
  • Arrival:
  • Complimentary transportation is provided to and from the airport.
  • Opportunity to Transition to Full-Time:
  • After working a minimum of 1560 hours over a 12-month period, you can transition to full-time status.
  • Full-time benefits include vacation and sick pay, medical insurance (with the Ranch covering 80% of premiums), and voluntary dental, vision, and life insurance (employees are responsible for 100% of the premiums for these benefits).
