Auditor/Repair
About The Position
Performs audits and inspection activities on out-going product and in-process audits to determine conformance to specifications. Visually inspects and utilizes various measuring instruments such as torque wrench, plug gauge, height gauge, etc. to check torque, threads, hole diameter, housing alignments, etc. Follow AQL sampling plan or 100% Inspection requirements. Print labels for EOL product following prescribed procedures. Analyze and repair product following procedures to identify root cause, rework, disassemble and assemble product and test. Ensure gauges are in calibration. Keep accurate written documentation such as shipping log, history card, move tickets, failure analysis reports, etc. Performs housekeeping activities according to 5S guidelines. May run production if needed.
Requirements
- Product knowledge and production experience.
- Ability to read and interpret outline drawings, blueprints, bill of materials, process specifications, process control plans, SPC charts, etc.
- Knowledge of various testing, inspection and measuring equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with operators on implementing corrective actions on defects found and to notify supervision or appropriate personnel of problems, work progress, etc.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to use computer equipment for inputting and retrieving data.
- Ability to lift, push or pull loads up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Above average attendance.
- Meets housekeeping and safety standards.
- Ability to drive fork truck (will train).
- Position requires eye exam to identify color deficiency.
