About The Position

Step into a high-impact leadership role where your audit expertise and people skills truly matter. As a Manager on Abdo's Business Audit team, you’ll own multiple concurrent engagements—leading audits, reviews, and compilations from planning through completion, guiding your team, and keeping projects running smoothly. You’ll be the primary contact for key business clients and the go-to liaison between partners and staff, building strong, trusted relationships while managing complex audits, reviews, and compilations, always with a strong focus on client service. Our services include full cycle business audits, reviews, compilations and employee benefit plan audits for clients in construction, real estate, manufacturing and professional services. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 5-8 years experience in audit
  • Experience in review and compilation engagements
  • CPA required
  • Strong quantitative analysis and financial modeling skills, with a focus on improvement and automation
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative spirit and adaptability to change

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, real estate, manufacturing, and professional services industries preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple complex audit, review, and compilation engagements (including EBP audits) from proposal through final presentation to client leadership
  • Meet with prospective and existing clients to understand needs, scope engagements, and prepare and present proposals and audit results
  • Set engagement timelines and staffing plans; delegate work and oversee workflow to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery
  • Review and finalize workpapers and audit documentation in accordance with professional and firm standards, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Manage, develop, and train staff; contribute to off‑season training and implementation of new accounting and auditing standards
  • Oversee time reporting, billing, WIP, and collections for assigned clients, meeting firm realization and billing goals
  • Exercise discretion and sound judgment when working with confidential client information
  • Drive firm growth by building client relationships, identifying additional service opportunities, and engaging in networking and other business development activities
